The annual autumn home tour is a self-guided tour of mid-century homes in Des Moines and its neighboring suburbs. Each house on the tour is carefully selected to showcase how real people decorate with vintage and mid-century in their modern lives. Many of the featured homes boast stunning architecture and history, while others simply demonstrate how mid-century furniture and decor can add timeless elegance to any style. This fall's tour will showcase the Frank Lloyd Wright Trier House and feature several other mid-century homes in Greater Des Moines. Get tickets here.
This free portion of the event allows you to visit participating vintage stores in central Iowa during extended shopping hours. Participating shops will offer exclusive in-store specials while serving unique drinks and snacks of the era. RSVP on Facebook and invite your friends!
Every year, this fun day ends with music and libations at a local lounge! Musical entertainment will be announced soon. Each home tour ticket holder will get a free drink ticket for a signature Mid Mod Madness cocktail valid at Hello, Marjorie from 7-9 pm the night of the event. More details TBA.
